Next year’s calendar of events has an international flavour as well as its usual taste of UK culture. In summer, there’ll be a twist on the familiar trail format with Safari Northampton when a herd of animal sculptures will appear across the city, and the SuperDragons return to Newport with a new variation on the mythical beast.
If you can’t bear to leave behind the sun and fun of the summer, and you’ve got a few airmiles to use, why not head down under to ever-sunny Australia, where a herd of Asian Elephants will swing into Melbourne in autumn to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Zoo.
Spring 2013 will see the launch of Pride in Cape Town, highlighting the increasingly desperate plight of the lion in South Africa in partnership with one of our closest charities, the Born Free Foundation.
