GET INVOLVED…

In 2013, we worked with over 250 schools who participated in creative learning projects linked to our animal-inspired public art events. We are busy planning events for 2015 and are inviting schools and youth organisations to get involved.

Each event will culminate with the decorated sculptures going on public display alongside their larger siblings.

If you are not located in the vicinity of one of our events, your school is still able to access our engaging formula of cross-curricular learning and creativity by selecting an animal from our portfolio of sculptures and creating your own wildlife masterpiece.

To be the first to hear about events happening in your area, make sure you check our website regularly and sign up to our newsletter.

Individual School Projects

Our individual packages provide schools with an opportunity to adopt your own animal and provide an engaging stand-alone arts project that unites the classroom through creativity, learning and debate.  Many schools have used their sculpture to deliver and enliven aspects of the national curriculum or address issues as diverse as global citizenship, anti-bullying or topical issues such the environmental awareness and the healthy living.

Chapel-en-le-Frith School with elephant

The children of Chapel-en-le-Frith High School introduce BILLY: their anti-bullying inspired contribution to the Saatchi Gallery’s ‘Elephant in the Room’ exhibition.

“I would imagine if it were possible to total the number of people – children and adults who will be touched in some positive way by this project, and to balance this against the monetary costs, that penny for penny this has been one of the ‘best investments’ of the year.”

Rosemary Burton, Teacher, Chapel-en-le-Frith High School, Derbyshire

Alternatively a number of schools inspired by our projects decide to work in collaboration with local businesses and partner cluster group schools to create show-stopping exhibitions of their own. Follow the link to our Case Studies page to see a selection of examples.
