Wild in Art is pleased to announce its first event in Australia. Working with Melbourne Zoo, Mali in the City will see 50 life-sized fibreglass models of the Zoo’s most famous Asian Elephant calf, Mali, designed and decorated by a variety of artists and then displayed throughout the streets of Melbourne during August and September.

The life-size sculptures will transform the city’s streets, parks, neighbourhoods and public spaces into an open air, free to view, visual cacophony of colourful stories, art and creativity.
Embracing Wild in Art’s passion for engaging with local schools, 50 ‘mini-Malis‘ will be decorated by local primary schools and also displayed in the city.
Mali in the City is part of Melbourne Zoo’s 150th Anniversary celebrations.
