Wild in Art, although not in itself a charity has a strong ethos of fund raising and is interested in working with suitable charities. In addition to fund raising, Wild in Art’s events also give its partner charities a very high profile in each host location, enabling them to raise awareness of issues as well as develop links with the local community. In 2008, Wild in Art’s events enabled £734,000 to be donated to the Liverpool Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal, the Born Free Foundation and CLICSargent.
"CLIC Sargent started working with Wild In Art in the autumn of 2007 when we were nominated by The Mall, Norwich as one of the beneficiaries of the Norwich Go Elephants! project organised by the Norwich Forum Trust. At the time we didn’t know what would be involved but as Wild In Art had experience of doing these events before it all ran very smoothly and was a huge success. It raised nearly £68k to help local children and young people with cancer and their families (see www.clicsargent.org.uk). The event really captured the imagination of the local people and visitors to the city, resulting in an auction night in September 2008 way beyond our expectations. It also massively increased the publicity and awareness of our charity in the region. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Wild In Art and everyone involved in the Go Elephants! project. We now hope to build on this success and work on further projects with Wild In Art."
