EVENTS

Wild in Art's events take art from the gallery and places it firmly in the public's consciousness. Using a variety of specially commissioned 3 dimensional sculptures the events animate each host location and quickly become the "talk of the town". At the conclusion of many of our events the sculptures are auctioned with substantial proceeds donated to local charity. Wild in Art's events deliver on all levels:

  • Huge public appeal, for example 89% of respondents to a survey for Go Elephants rated the exhibit “very good” with a further 10% rating it good.
  • Engage local communities; community and schools projects ensure buy in.
  • Tourist driver, but also (and importantly) encourage residents to be a tourist in their own city while they seek out each sculpture. 58% of respondents to a survey who lived in Norwich made a specific visit to the see Go Elephants. In addition 45% of non resident visitors visited the city specifically to Go Elephants.
  • Fund raising possibilities.

'Go Superlambananas was truly one of the major highlights of Liverpool’s ’08 Programme as European Capital of Culture and took everyone by surprise. Liverpudlians embraced it like their own and visitors to the city loved its quirkiness! Wild-in-Art were fantastic to work with and their can-do attitude was one of the reasons for the tremendous success’

I have to say that I think that Go Elephants has been a fantastic success for the City of Norwich and must have had a terrific impact on the number of people spending the day in the city. I can see the Elephant we sponsored from my office window and it is surrounded at most times of the day by families and groups who are obviously visiting as many as they can. Even groups of teenagers seem to be fascinated by them!
