Snailspace hits Brighton

Giant gastropods in Brighton are encouraging everyone to #BeMoreSnail.

For nine weeks 50 giant snails and 60 junior snails will be hidden around the city encouraging you to explore areas away from the usual tourist haunts and to embrace the event’s motto. Slow down, enjoy the moment and spend more time with the people you love: #BeMoreSnail.

Snailspace Brighton and Hove 15 September – 18 November

The motto resonates with the philosophy behind the life-changing care provided by Martlets Hospice. At the end of the event, the super-sized sculptures will be auctioned off and the profit raised will go back to help fund Martlets’ vital work.

Snailway highlights

Look out for two giant ice-cream snails Fabtastic and Scoopalicious, a delectable pair of snails: iconic symbols of good times and simple pleasures. Slimon created by Turner nominated artist, David Shrigley and Soraya by artist and former fashion designer Sarah Arnett are also sure to make you smile on the Snailway.
