WILD IN ART’S GORILLAS WOW BRISTOL IN AUCTION NIGHT BONANZA

After an amazing fun-filled summer on the streets of Bristol, the WOW! Gorillas finally went to auction on 29 September. With 550 people in the auction room and over 3,500 more watching live online, 61 individually designed gorilla sculptures raised a whopping £427,300 for Bristol Zoo Garden’s European Association of Zoos and Aquaria Ape Campaign and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.

‘Gorisambard’ celebrating the city’s own Isambard Kingdom Brunel, created by Tim Miness, proved to be the most popular fetching £23,000 alone. The event has been hailed as a phenomenal success, with our super silverbacks generating over 13,000 Facebook fans, and 1.2 million individual interactions.
