Big Bear Sculpture Trail at Wild Place Project

Location: Bristol
Client: Wild Place Project

We were commissioned by the Bristol Zoological Society to create a sculpture trail in its south Gloucestershire attraction, Wild Place Project. As well as providing outdoor adventure, play and learning, Wild Place Project has an emphasis on protecting threatened habitats on our doorsteps and around the globe.

Art trail for conservation

The sculpture trail comes ahead of the arrival of real European brown bears at the attraction, as a new exhibit called Bear Wood opens at Wild Place Project. All 20 Bear sculptures have been sponsored by local organisations as part of a fundraising campaign for Bear Wood.

The following artists were commissioned:

The project has so far appeared in almost 200 national and regional papers and websites. These included The Daily Mail, The Guardian and The Sun. It reached an audience just short of 8 million.
