Discovery trails for London 2012 Olympics

Location: London
Client: Greater London Authority

Stroll: Discovery Trails presented a series of six unique walks signposting some of the city’s greatest sights and sounds to millions of tourists and residents. Animating the streets of London during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the trails were brought to life for the summer by over 80 individually designed and created replicas of the official Games mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville.

Countrywide, previously commissioned artists were deployed to create interpretations of some of London’s most iconic locations, its characters and distinguishing characteristics – from Big Ben to Spitalfields Market, St Paul’s to Regent’s Park. You could bump into a Ceremonial Speaker in Westminster, a Yeoman of the Guard at the Tower of London and Sherlock Holmes in Baker Street.
