Free activities at Wild in Art 2022 events

We are well under way with our 2022 summer trails and there is lots of free family fun to be had if you’re planning a visit.

GoGoDiscover, Norwich

Dodo and Dinosaur Workshops

GoGoDiscover’s merchandise partner, Dodo and Dinosaur, are hosting lots of activity workshops in venues across Norwich.

Discover more about their Extraordinary Extinct species stomping across the county this summer.

Featuring T.rex and Mammoth designs, they have created fun activities to fuel your little one’s fossil fascination.

Get crafty with giant collages, solve prehistoric puzzles, enter a mammoth colouring competition and take home some limited edition GoGoDiscover merchandise.

There are activities for all children from pre-school to primary age (2-12).

Follow That Duck, Hastings

Scavenger Hunt

Throughout August, you can follow a scavenger hunt as you discover the Rubber Duck trail.

Download a free scavenger hunt guide, follow the clues and submit your answer sheet by 31st August.

One lucky winner with all the right answers will win a Family Ticket to Beauty and the Beast, the family pantomime for 2022 at The White Rock Theatre.

The Big Hoot, Ipswich

The Big Hoot Writing Competition

The Big Hoot are looking for original stories for children inspired by the trail. They are open to all stories that will appeal to children around primary school age.

If you enter, you could win one of the owl-tactic prizes they have for each age category and overall.

Elmer’s Big Family Fun Day

Add your Elmer creations to the Elmer Gallery and join an art workshop with artist Dawn Crothers.

Salford Literacy Trail

Creative Activities

Collect a letter from each BookBench sculpture to fill in a mystery sentence on the trail map.

Decorate your own BookBench and send in your entry with a chance to win a prize.

Download activity sheets inspired by Find Your Happy picture book by Emily Coxhead or write a postcard about what Salford will look like in the future.


The Big Splash, Isle of Man

The Big Swim Fundraising Challenge

You can complete the challenge on either day at the following pools: Northern Swimming Pool (Ramsey), Southern Swimming Pool (Castletown), Western Swimming Pool (Peel) & The NSC (Douglas).

There will be three categories to choose between, from a little swim of 20 lengths, to a big swim of 50 lengths or set your own goal.

Challenge yourself and help raise funds for Hospice Isle of Man.

If that wasn’t enough you’ll even be posted an exclusive Big Swim medal and certificate.

When: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September

The Big Splash Passport

Kids (and adults!) can collect a free Big Splash passport and stickers set from any Hospice shop around the island.

Check off your dolphin spots with stickers as you travel around the trail.
