Clyde’s Trail, Glasgow 2014

25 colourful sculptures of ‘Clyde’, the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games mascot, went on display in different locations across the city, each sporting a unique outfit and providing a very friendly face of the Games.

Glasgow City Council commissioned its own installation of colourful mascot sculptures as the centrepiece in a programme of activity to dress the city for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. ‘Clyde’s Trail’ of 25 individually-designed, life-sized sculptures was displayed across the city from the weekend before the Games opened- creating a vibrant, fun and inspiring environment for residents, visitors, spectators, athletes, officials and the world’s media, ahead of the sporting action.
