Elmer’s Big Parade, Suffolk 2019
Elmer’s Big Art Parades are sculpture trails inspired by one of the most iconic and widely read children’s book series of all time. The parades of elephants provide visually stunning trails of art and the first events took place in 2019, 30 years since Elmer was first brought to life in a book and published by Andersen Press.
After the success of Pigs Gone Wild art trail, St Elizabeth Hospice brought Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk to Ipswich and the wider region in the summer of 2019. A learning programme open to all schools and clubs in the area sees young Elmers helping to promote positive messages about inclusivity, courage and friendship.
