Overview

In summer 2022, a 10 week adventure full of colossal creatures and family-friendly exploration took place all across Norfolk.

Terrific T.rex sculptures walked the streets of Norwich alongside a new colossal Steppe Mammoth sculpture – the biggest trail sculpture to ever stomp the streets of the region. The Steppe Mammoths were found across Norfolk to celebrate the Deep History Coast and Norfolk being the site of the discovery of the largest and oldest mammoth ever found in Britain. If that isn’t enough, GoGoDiscover also saw mini ‘Breaksaurus’ T.rex on their own trail as part of the Learning and Community Programme.

The trail was live across Norfolk from Monday 27 June until Saturday 10 September and encouraged explorers of all ages to have fun and learn more about the county, while simultaneously working to raise awareness and vital funds for Break and the vulnerable children and young people they support.

At the end of the trail many of the sculptures went to a charity auction where the £427,000 raised went to Break to help them continue their work with vulnerable young people across the region on the edge of care, in care and leaving care.
