We often believe that our art events are in the business of making people smile, so what better endeavour to be a part of than honouring 50 Years of Smiley.
We are thrilled to be contributing SmileyWorld sculptures to The SmileyWorld EQ Art Trail as part of the company’s 50th anniversary festivities.
The art trail, which is located at 94 ECE Marketplace retail malls around Germany, urges visitors to “Get Emotional” as they discover the 27 primary emotions.
Smiley was first published as a symbol of positive news by Franklin Loufrani, in a 1972 publication of the newspaper France Soir.
Now, it is a universally recognised symbol as the company has evolved into a lifestyle brand which has embraced fashion, retail, entertainment, homewares and lots more to encourage positivity, creativity and collaboration.
Smiley’s simple message of “taking the time to smile” is as important as ever, and it is an experience we hope every one of our art trail visitors will have.
