Wild in Art some of the first to be welcomed back to New Zealand

Mophead by Lisa Rudman, inspired by poet and writer Selina Tusitala Marsh’s children’s book Mophead

Our team were some of the first to arrive back in New Zealand after the borders fully reopened at the start of May.

We made it in the nick of time for the Whale Tales trail auction! The 80 fin-tastic Tails raised an impressive $650,000 for WWF New Zealand’s conservation efforts in the Hauraki Gulf.

During our stay, we visited the team at the Department of International trade to talk about exciting future events.

We also had the chance to finally spot some penguins from our Pop Up Penguins 2020 trail since we were not able to travel over at the time.

Once we had enjoyed the sights of Auckland, we travelled onto Christchurch to be with the team at International Antarctic Centre and Michelle Rogan-Finnemore, Executive Secretary at COMNAP.

We have thoroughly enjoyed all our trails in New Zealand and cannot wait for more to come in the future.
